Compensation Specialist
Job Responsibilities
• Support research, analysis, design, implementation, monitoring and maintenance of cash compensation policies and programs to ensure compensation programs are successfully delivered and in support of achieving strategic objectives.
• Work with other HR teams in cross-functional activities or projects.
• Identify opportunities for system enhancements and process efficiencies.
• Identify opportunities for enhancements in metrics to improve forecasting and reporting that align with best practices in the industry.
• Leverage strong working relationships to build an understanding and acceptance of compensation programs and initiatives across the organization.
Skills and Knowledge Requirements
• A post-secondary education in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a related field or equivalent practical knowledge and experience; working towards, or completion of CCP, CEBS, CHRP or similar designation.
• A minimum of 3–5 years focused experience in Human Resources with direct, experience in compensation program design and implementation.
• Knowledge and working experience with compensation concepts, design, trends, tools and administration.
• Significant knowledge of statistical analysis and data management techniques with advanced proficiency in working with Office, Excel and other software.
• Proven ability to engage employees at all levels of the organization in discussions about Rewards and able to influence and enable change.
• Proven organization, planning, prioritization and time management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with minimal supervision.
• Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.
