HR Generalist
Reports to: Director, Human Resources

Our client has an immediate opening for an experienced HR Generalist.



Summary

As a champion of excellence, the successful candidate will have solid HR experience and a proven track record of collaborating with and supporting leadership teams. The successful candidate will be a professional, self-motivated individual, with strong interpersonal and presentation skills and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.



Major Responsibilities

Provides strategic leadership to ensure HR efforts and outcomes are fully aligned with business needs for all HR activities, including HR Planning and Administration, Staff Scheduling, Recruitment, Compensation and Benefits, Performance Management, Training and Development, HR Fiscal Management, Labour Relations, and Legal Compliance

Ensures all HR programs and policies utilize best practice approaches

Point of contact and source of expertise for labour relations issues

Develops solution-focused approaches to HR related issues, and provides advice and guidance to the Leadership Team

Promotes a culture of positive employee relations and employee engagement

Mentors and coaches staff at all levels

Develops and facilitates HR training related initiatives

Actively participates in grievances, discipline and health and safety programs

Participates in community outreach.



The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

University degree

CHRL designation preferred

8+ years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources, preferably in a community services or client-centred health care environment

Experience leading teams through change management initiatives
