Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Our client has an immediate career opportunity for an OpEx Manufacturing Engineering Manager in their state-of-the-art facility. Responsible for Operational Excellence (OpEx) and Operations Engineering site support.

Major Responsibilities

Provides technical and project management support to the operations and other support groups;

Leads process and continuous improvement initiatives through use of lean manufacturing;

Performs tasks related to product and process time standards, production and manpower planning, capital projects and process design, start-up, and modification;

Acts as the lean coordinator for the site;

Identifies and executes projects for the site and prioritizes based on safety, quality, customer service and cost reduction needs.

Develops and manages capital and department annual budget;

Supports EH&S policies, procedures and guidelines, and trains employees;

Participates in and leads cost reduction projects;

Assists in design, maintenance, and interpretation of accurate performance measurement systems;

Establishes quarterly milestones and provides quarterly reports to management;

Provides assistance and subject matter expertise on plant’s total productive maintenance program;

Adheres and supports Environmental Health and Safety and Sustainability requirements.

The Ideal Candidate Has

Degree in Engineering;

Minimum of 10+ years engineering management experience;

FDA/GMP experience an asset;

Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma;

Working knowledge of Quality Management, Auditing, Engineering, Quality System Regulation, and ISO requirements;

Ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams;

Detail-focused with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
