Director of Engineering (Product Development)
You will have responsibility for creating the overall product development system while simultaneously executing the development of a suite of products encompassing testing instruments and single-use testing consumables. A Professional Engineer with at least 10 years of product development engineering and management experience, you will interact with all levels of the organization as well as other business units around the world. The ability to successfully manage multiple projects under intense deadlines is the key requirement for this position.
Project Engineers (Optical systems, Instruments-Mechanical systems,
Instruments-Controls)
Forming the core of the product development team, the project engineers are responsible for developing the necessary supply chain relationships, driving the design process, overseeing prototype development and delivering production ready products per specification while meeting cost targets. Professional Engineers (or P. Eng. eligible) each will have five years experience in managing product development projects. Cross-discipline engineering experience is of particular value in these roles.
Regulatory Manager
Working closely with the VP, Business Development & Regulatory Affairs, you will develop the systems necessary for rapid product approvals by various regulatory bodies including provincial Ministries of Environment and the USEPA. Working seamlessly with the product development team, third party testing organizations and regulators, you will develop the necessary testing protocols and oversee their successful completion. A post graduate background in microbiology with five years of project management experience in the water or food industry is ideal.
Senior Accountant
You will have responsibility for developing the accounting systems of the organization while maintaining a hands-on role for executing the necessary monthly financial reporting and bookkeeping tasks. Ideally, you have a Business degree, an accounting designation and five years experience in finance management. You will be interacting with the senior levels of the organization, the corporate finance group as well as service providers such as auditors and tax specialists. A background in a technology organization with significant experience in managing SR & ED and other government granting processes is of particular importance in this role.
