Accountant

Our client has an interesting career opportunity for an experienced Accountant to join their Kingston team.

A dynamic expanding organization. You will be part of a collaborative team culture in a customer focused environment with forward thinking professionals. Role reports to the Controller



Your Contribution to the Organization Will Be:

Assist with the preparation of all monthly, quarterly and year-end financial activities.

Prepare financial statements, reports and schedules including balance sheets, income/cash flow statements.

Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable/receivable, expense reports, etc.

Plan and coordinate accounting functions including financial reports, budgets and forecasting.

Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules and inventory records.

Provide assistance with audit documentation, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and internal controls.

Collaborate with internal staff and external stakeholders.

Perform account/financial analysis, investigate variances, discrepancies, identify root cause and recommend corrective action.



The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

2+ years’ experience and a Degree in Business or Accounting.

Ability to support financial requests/projects and deliver timely results with high quality.

Experience with and knowledge of international finance reporting standards (IFRS) an asset.

Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables and complex formulas).

A motivated self-starter with strong organizational and communication skills.

Keen attention to detail along with excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Experience working with Epicor/SAP system is considered an asset.
