CNC Operator/Machinist – Brockville

Our client, a successful mid-sized manufacturing company in Brockville, has an immediate opening.

Core Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain a horizontal boring mill.

Duties:

Set up and operate a horizontal boring mill to perform machine operations;

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and engineering drawing;

Use CAD software;

Select and install cutting tools, fixtures, etc;

Monitor machine operations and adjust as necessary;

Troubleshoot issues with machine;

Perform routine maintenance to ensure production quality;

Ensure machine is in safe working condition;

Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments;

Collaborate with team members to meet production goals;

Mentor and guide junior operators;

Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and safety.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Strong CNC programming and operator experience.

Red Seal Certification an asset.

Familiarity with CAD software, i.e. SolidWorks.

Experience with Fanuc controls an asset.

Ability to use power tools, hand tools and measuring instruments.

Valid driver’s licence.

Excellent attention to detail, strong organization/problem solving skills.
