Human Resources Generalist

Our client, a successful Ottawa based manufacturing company, is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join their small, collaborative HR team. An interesting and dynamic career opportunity for an HR professional with strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. This individual will thrive in the role if they possess a passion for people, challenging the status quo, along with the desire to revamp HR procedures and implement best practices within the organization.

Major Responsibilities:

Act as the main point of contact for day-to-day HR matters (e.g. benefits inquiries, policy interpretation, HR programs, system access, et cetera.)

Manages all HR documentation including on boarding, off boarding, benefits/RRSP administration

Prioritizes the integrity and accuracy of the data within the HRIS system (Ceridian)

Responsible for HR reporting and data analytics

Responsible for end-to-end recruitment for certain positions

Oversee ongoing employee retention and engagement initiatives

Works closely with HR Director on various HR projects, programs, and strategic initiatives

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

2–5 years Human Resources experience

Manufacturing experience an asset

Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management and/or Business Administration

CHRP or CHRL Designation is an asset

Strong customer centric approach and “can do” attitude

In-depth understanding of HR legislation and best practices
