Human Resources Leader

Our client, a successful, expanding manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced senior Human Resources professional. Role reports directly to the General Manager. An excellent career opportunity with a dynamic senior leadership team in a respectful, collaborative culture.



Major Responsibilities:

Lead departmental/organizational HR activities and collaboratively develop and implement programs that align with the organization’s strategic plan.

Champion and support multiple employee initiatives and priorities.

Coach/develop the HR team and support all departments.

Develop/oversee department budgets, KPI’s and business plans.

Lead the administration and negotiation of collective agreements.

Support the workplace safety programs and goals.

Foster a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and open communication.

Ensure organizational compliance regarding regulations by implementing necessary policies & procedures. Forecast compensation/payroll and oversee benefit programs.

Coordinate/oversee training and development to provide for individual and group development, as well as increased organization effectiveness.

Monitor STD/LTD, coordinate return to work and workplace accommodation programs.

Identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices.

Provide expert advice, guidance and coaching to employees and the leadership team.



The Ideal Candidate:

Strong Human Resources leadership experience (manufacturing exposure ideal).

Proven success in enabling a positive labour relations environment.

A strategic, accountable, business focused team player with excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills, coupled with a drive for innovation/efficiencies and a focus on an enhanced employee experience.

A professional with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships at all levels of the organization. A respected coach, mentor with a ‘we can do’ attitude.

Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.

University Degree, HR designation and 10+ years senior HR leadership experience.
