Manager of Financial Services

Our client, an independent not-for-profit charitable organization is seeking an experienced financial manager.

Reporting to the President & CEO, the Manager, Financial Services provides oversight and supports the day-to-day general accounting and financial analysis for the organization., including supervision of Finance staff. The Manager is responsible for ensuring appropriate mechanisms and internal controls are in place, providing financial reports and interpreting financial information to managerial staff, recommending further courses of action, and maintaining all pertinent subledgers and general ledger.

An innovative strategic thinker with a positive attitude, who demonstrates a high degree of business acumen, with experience in not-for-profits, solution focused and capable of facilitating and maintaining long-term relationships with partners, and funders.

Adept at ensuring that operational plans are aligned with the strategic plan, developing, and implementing operational plans that support the overall financial plan for the organization in consultation with Senior staff.

A knowledgeable manager who excels at collaborating, and coaching staff, leads by example, mentors, and guides a professional team to consistently achieve results.

A results-driven professional with a deep understanding of not-for-profits, government funding requirements, a willingness to bring new perspectives and strategies to support the organization's ability to respond to community needs.

A succinct and accurate communicator with excellent people skills.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Undergraduate or graduate degree in Finance, or Business with a major in Accounting plus an accounting designation (CPA) with 5+ years experience in a supervisory role.

Possesses a high level of integrity, accountability, sound analytical thinking, a systems level mind-set, excellent planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
