Associate Director

As a member of the Leadership Team and working under the direction of the Director of Clinical Operations, the Associate Director (AD) leads and directs/manages assigned programs within a portfolio. The AD is responsible for the direct management of staff, provides effective financial management, a visionary approach to planning, and inspiring leadership all in the course of ensuring a client-centric approach to daily program operations.

We Are Looking For

A seasoned clinical leader with a genuine understanding of, and commitment to, the clients being served by the agency;

Master’s Degree in a relevant field and membership in a Regulated Health Profession;

Minimum of 5 – 10 years experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience;

Skilled in the application of effective management and supervisory practices, including knowledge and experience in continuous quality improvement, change management, risk management, planning and program delivery, accountability, evaluation and policy development and accreditation program standards; Lean Six-sigma certification an asset

Effective organizational, management and leadership skills with a strong focus on coaching, mentoring and motivating professional employees in a unionized environment;

Extensive knowledge of addiction and mental illness and therapeutic clinical treatment modalities and other evidence-based clinical practices within a client-focused community addictions and mental health system;

Demonstrated ability to manage key constituent relationships;

Experience in working with people from diverse backgrounds and a demonstrated understanding of cultural awareness, sensitivity and competency in culturally informed treatment modalities;

High level of integrity, confidentiality and accountability; Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization and execution skills;

Strong verbal and written communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skills;

Current First Aid/CPR, Crisis Prevention and Intervention, and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills training.
