Business Administrator

Our client has an immediate career opportunity for a Business Administrator. This newly created role reports to the President of a successful residential/commercial development organization with a collaborative, dedicated and respectful team of professionals. Ideal Candidate

A personable self-starter with strong administrative and accounting experience. A multitasker with sharp attention to detail. Creative problem solver with proven time management and customer service skills. Must possess solid organizational skills and is forward thinking. Ability to prioritize and efficiently coordinate activities and execute in a friendly, professional manner.



Site Clerical Administration:

Conduct general office duties in a fast-paced office environment

Interact daily with tradespeople and suppliers

Facilitate internal coordination with Lawyers, Bankers, Surveyors, Planners, Engineers, et cetera

Tender quotes, award purchase orders, and oversee processes

Create/organize work schedules for repairs with trades and customers

Prepare contracts for new homeowners

Oversee Marketing activities › website maintenance, site signage, and social media.



Accounting:

General knowledge of bookkeeping (ideally QuickBooks accounting software and advanced computer skills)
AP, AR, payroll, HST, bank reconciliations, cash management, government remittances, et cetera.

Maintain confidential business files

Prepare spreadsheets and detailed reports

Provide support to the leadership team.



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

College Diploma in business, finance, or related field preferred

5+ years of experience in bookkeeping

Excellent computer skills using software such as Excel and Simply Accounting and/or QuickBooks

Good organizational, time management, and problem resolution skills

Accuracy and attention to detail while working under tight deadlines



Education & Experience:

Post-secondary degree/diploma (CPA or in progress an asset)

3+ years business experience

Working knowledge of residential and/or commercial construction environments and a general understanding of real estate sales/marketing considered an asset
