Human Resources Manager

Our client, a successful Ottawa Valley manufacturing company, is seeking a Human Resources leader to join their collaborative senior leadership team. An interesting and challenging career opportunity for an experienced HR Generalist with labour relations expertise, strong interpersonal skills, integrity, and a keen interest in engaging with all employees.



Major Responsibilities
Reports to: Director of Operations

Strong business acumen with proven ability to manage diverse HR initiatives

Collaboratively develop and implement programs and processes that align with corporate business strategies, objectives and direction

Ensure company compliance with legislation

Responsible for developing integrated HR solutions while considering budget and corporate culture

Assist in planning, developing, and implementing HR management systems (e.g. performance management, talent acquisition, and HRIS)

Oversee ongoing employee recruitment, retention, and engagement initiatives

Oversee HR documentation and benefits administration

Promote a culture of clear and open communication

Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations

Maintain effective labour relations; coordinate and plan negotiation strategies required for collective agreement bargaining; act as Chief Negotiator

Provide expert advice and coach Managers and Supervisors



The Ideal Candidate Will Have

Strong Human Resources leadership experience

CHRL designation is an asset

Manufacturing experience is an asset

Strong customer focus and entrepreneurial approach

Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including labour relations

In-depth understanding of HR legislation and best practices
