Manufacturing Engineer

Our client, a fast-growing mid-sized manufacturing company, has an immediate interesting career opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer. This newly created R&D role is in product and process improvement for existing and innovative new products. The goal is to increase market share, enhance client experience and diversify product offerings. This is an exciting time to join this forward thinking, collaborative team.

Core Responsibilities:

Responsible for adherence of cost-effective and manufacturing operation best practices.

Partners with Manufacturing Management to lead lean manufacturing practices to develop and implement production flow and re-design enhancements for continuous optimization of current processes and procedures.

Collaborates with Research, Design and Development resources to develop and implement efficient and robust processes for new product development, testing, and implementation.

Works with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and determine root cause and implement correct actions for product quality and production issues.

Performs and guides technical activities which includes existing or new products/technologies.

Accountable for the business plans development for capital projects.

The Ideal Candidate Possess:

Post-secondary degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.

3–5 years of experience as a manufacturing Process/Industrial/Mechanical or Production Engineer.

Experience in CAD design or Solid Works.

Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma certification/experience an asset.

SRED exposure an asset.

Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization and execution skills.

Ability to work in cross-functional teams and on self-motivated to lead project initiatives.

Adaptable, collaborative, respectful and hands-on plant floor engineer who enjoys solving problems and implementing solutions.
