Program Director

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Program Director provides leadership to a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians and programs across Leeds & Grenville. Principal responsibilities include providing quality management and clinical supervision from a client centred focus, developing collaborative relationships with community partners. Participating fully as an integral member of the leadership team ensuring timely and effective access to high quality services across Lanark, Leeds & Grenville in our role as a Lead Agency for the service area of Lanark, Leeds & Grenville.

Children’s Mental Health of Leeds & Grenville (CMHLG) is committed to helping children, youth and their families, dedicated to providing mental health services for children, youth and their families living in Leeds and Grenville. CMHLG has an operating budget of approximately $3.8 million, and 46 staff, serving approximately 1,550 clients per year and operating from 5 regionally distributed offices.



We Are Looking For

A seasoned clinical leader with a genuine understanding of, and commitment to, the clients being served by the agency;

Master’s Degree in a relevant field and membership in a Regulated Health Profession;

A minimum of 4 years experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience;

Skilled in the application of effective management and supervisory practices, including knowledge and experience in continuous quality improvement; change management; risk management; planning and program delivery, accountability, evaluation, policy development and accreditation program standards;

Effective organizational, management and leadership skills with a strong focus on coaching, mentoring and motivating professional employees in a unionized environment;

Knowledge of the children’s mental health sector issues and the needs of rural communities;

A demonstrated ability to manage key constituent relationships;

Experience in working with people from diverse backgrounds and a demonstrated understanding of cultural awareness, sensitivity, and competency;

A high level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability; Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills;

Strong verbal and written communication skills; is a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skills.
