Program Manager

The Program Manager, reporting to an Associate Director, will be responsible for the leadership of the clinical staff in their Program. The Program Manager will ensure effective day-to-day program operations under the direction of the Associate Director

We Are Looking For

An experienced clinical leader with a genuine understanding of, and commitment to, the clients being served by the agency;

University degree in a relevant field relevant mental health profession Minimum of 3–5 years experience, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience;

In-depth operational knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g. Public Hospitals Act, Mental Health Act, Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, Personal Health Information Protection Act, Consent, et cetera);

Demonstrated Clinical Management skills, including problem solving, critical thinking, conflict resolution and negotiation;

Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a crisis;

Working knowledge of addiction and mental illness and the therapeutic clinical treatment modalities and other evidence-based clinical practices within a client-focused community addictions and mental health system;

Experience in working with people from diverse backgrounds and a demonstrated understanding of cultural awareness, sensitivity and competency in culturally informed treatment modalities;

High-level of integrity, confidentiality and accountability; Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization and execution skills;

Strong verbal and written communication skills; a succinct and accurate communicator with excellent interpersonal skills;

Current First Aid/CPR, Crisis Prevention and Intervention and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills training an asset.
