Senior Clinical Manager

Reporting to the Senior Director of Services and Operations, the Senior Clinical Manager provides effective leadership and clinical vision for Addictions and Mental Health Services Hastings Prince Edward (AMHS-HPE) through successful stewardship of the AMH work streams and activities inclusive of managing the contractual agreements with the local Schedule I facility, Youth Habilitation Quinte and Sexual Assault Centre.

AMHS-HPE is a community-based agency providing a range of client-centred services and supports throughout Hastings and Prince Edward Counties to individuals 16 and older. Services are provided in the individual’s home environment, office setting or in the community. AMHS-HPE has an operating budget of approximately $7.4 million, and 75 staff, serving approximately 2,500 clients per year and operating from 5 regionally distributed care centres.

Strategic Focus Areas: Service Delivery Redesign, Implementing Supportive Clinical Technology and Client Tools; Measuring Impact, and Delivering Timely Access to care.



We Are Looking For

A seasoned clinical leader with a genuine understanding of, and commitment to, the clients being served by the agency;

A Master’s degree in Health Sciences, Social Sciences, Health Administration;

A minimum of 10 years experience, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience, meets the Clinical Supervisor requirements of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).

Extensive knowledge of addiction and mental illness and the therapeutic clinical treatment modalities and other evidence-based clinical practices within a client-focused community addictions and mental health system;

Effective organizational, management and leadership skills with a strong focus on coaching, mentoring and motivating professional employees in a unionized environment;

A demonstrated ability to manage key constituent relationships;

Experience managing in a unionized environment an asset;

Experience in working with people from diverse backgrounds and a demonstrated understanding of cultural awareness, sensitivity, and competency;

A high level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability; Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills;

Strong verbal and written communication skills; is a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skills;
