Allen Prowse
Allen G. Prowse BA, BSc, DHA, CHE has broad experience across the spectrum of health care – from managing acute care and children's hospital services to leading mental health services for the Province of Nova Scotia, managing the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care's Mental Health Program, and serving as General Manager Ontario and National Program Director of the Canadian Red Cross Society's Health Programs, prior to becoming Executive Director of the Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington Community Care Access Centre, Vice President Mental Health Services and subsequently Vice President – Quality, Partnerships and Community Programs at Providence Care.

He is a member of the Canadian College of Health Service Executives and received his CHE designation in 1987. He is a Past Member of the Kingston Rotary Club, and a United Way of Frontenac Lennox and Addington Board Member (2005–2011) (2013–Present), Past Chair (2008–2009) and Past Campaign Cabinet Member responsible for the Health Care and Agencies Sector for the United Way serving (2005–2011), and Past Chair of the Integrated Mental Health Network of Southeastern Ontario (2008–2012).

He has received a number of awards for excellence including two outstanding achievement awards from the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care in 2001 and 2002, a medal of recognition from the Ministry of Public Health, Peoples' Republic of China 1989, and a Paul Harris Award from the Rotary Club of Kingston in 2012. He is a Lecturer in the Department of Psychiatry, School of Medicine at Queen's University and actively involved in Quality Improvement activities.
